Job Summary
We have several new openings with a Central Fill Pharmacy just outside of Indianapolis, IN! As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital
role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our automated prescription fulfillment process.
Responsibilities
- Manually fill prescriptions and replenish medications.
- Stock medications and maintain pharmacy systems and technology.
- Prepare informational records and reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates for pharmaceuticals.
- Calibrate machines and apply settings to pill or capsule specifications.
- Troubleshoot pill cell issues throughout production.
- Sort, place, and store freight in appropriate locations.
- Restock and replenish medications, ensuring stock rotation on a first-in, first-out basis.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with physical counts for inventories.
- Create reports using inventory information systems and monitor prescription inventory for expired pharmaceuticals.
- Support facility with reporting and paperwork to ensure productivity and pharmaceutical integrity.
- Enter and modify pharmaceutical data on systems and forms, processing and submitting paperwork.
- Create and maintain documentation and communications, identifying and resolving discrepancies in records or files.
- Prepare reports of pharmacy activities and inventory, informing management about incorrect or inefficient processes.
- Maintains quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory (for example, pharmaceuticals, supplies) by utilizing automated inventory control scanner and system to track and ensure the timely and appropriate delivery and stocking of pharmaceuticals and supplies
- Use a scanner to identify and select pharmaceutical product and quantity for prescription orders.
- Verify the size and strength of the product before processing orders, entering expiration dates and lot numbers.
- Label prescriptions, weigh medication for accuracy, and prepare packages for distribution.
- Replenish automated counting machines in a fast-paced production environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Meets Indiana state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Holds an active/valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT).
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in Indiana.
- Pharmacy technician license and certification.
- Ability to meet state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Retail or warehouse experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a central fill, pill-pak, closed door pharmacy, specialty/mail order production pharmacy/shipping department is preferred.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, stand for long periods of time, strong attention to detail, and place merchandise / supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.50/hr.
