Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to perform chemistry quality laboratory testing. The ideal candidate will calibrate lab equipment and instrumentation, perform lab testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished products for customer investigations, and maintain appropriate quality documentation. This role also involves developing methods for performance testing of products both in the laboratory and the field, and preparing Certificates of Analysis for finished products.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemistry quality laboratory testing.
• Calibrate lab equipment and instrumentation.
• Conduct lab testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished products for customer investigations.
• Maintain appropriate quality documentation for all testing.
• Develop methods for performance testing of products in the laboratory and in the field.
• Prepare Certificates of Analysis on finished products.

Essential Skills

• Scientific degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in laboratory quality control testing.
• Strong background in wet chemistry and analytical chemistry.
• Proficiency in titration techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in batch adjustments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

This is a 1st shift position, working Wednesday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a lunch break. Initially, the role requires full week coverage due to a major project. Once production needs stabilize, the schedule will shift to a more conventional 1st shift, Monday through Friday. Candidates will collaborate with other lab personnel, including lab techs, chemists, the VP of Product Development, the Regulatory & EHS Specialist, the Technical Manager, and production staff to collect samples and manage batch corrections. The facility is a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing and laboratory site, supporting a stable and growing company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.45 - $28.85/hr.
