Job Title: Civil Engineer - Drainage

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer specializing in drainage to join our dynamic team. You will be working on diverse and important projects for Arizona’s municipalities, blending the disciplines of Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Drainage Engineering. Responsibilities

• Lead projects involving drainage studies and design.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.
• Perform sediment transport analysis and 2-dimensional modeling using FLO-2D.
• Analyze bridge hydraulics and scour.
• Develop flood mitigation alternatives.
• Design storm drain systems, culverts, channels, and flood control improvements.
• Design detention and retention basins, parks, and multi-use facilities.
• Prepare grading, drainage, and pavement designs.
• Delineate floodplains and prepare FIRM, DFIRM, and PMR.
• Handle CLOMR/LOMR/LOMC submissions and comply with FEMA Guidelines/NFIP Regulations.
• Conduct infrastructure assessments and prepare construction documents.
• Perform cost reviews and water/sewer utility designs.
• Manage projects, coordinate with clients, and contribute to business development.
• Perform technical reviews/QAQC and write technical reports.

Essential Skills

• Experience in civil and water resources engineering.
• Strong project management skills.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent communication and client coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Stormwater, Civil design, HEC-RAS, grading, and hydraulic modeling using FLO-2D and HEC-RAS 2D.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and drafting.
• Knowledge of construction, water resources, sewer, drainage, and public works projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have experience with Arizona drainage projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr.
