Job Title: Civil Engineer or Environmental Engineer

Job Description

Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure. Work on engineering planning and design projects. Prepare reports, develop plans and specifications, and prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects. Conduct system modeling, provide permitting and alternative analysis, and prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables. Perform data entry and analysis, provide engineering services during construction, and participate in field activities such as pilot testing.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, hydrology, Civil engineering, environmental engineering, wastewater design, wastewater plants, infrastructure design, WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM, hydraulics, and water engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. (Master’s Degree Preferred)
• Coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design.
• 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
• Must have your Engineer-in-Training Certification.
• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
