Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

The Civil Engineer provides both strategic and operational support to service center managers throughout the organization. The role involves designing and supervising construction projects, which may include water and wastewater systems, land development, and transportation infrastructure. The Civil Engineer will estimate costs, determine personnel and material needs, and conduct studies, preparing written reports for clients. This role requires a high degree of creativity and latitude, with the potential to lead projects and supervise other engineers, E.I.T.s, drafters, and field personnel. Additionally, the Civil Engineer will assist in business development efforts, including preparing statements of qualifications and proposals for potential clients.

Responsibilities

• Design and supervise construction projects, including water and wastewater systems, land development, and transportation infrastructure.
• Estimate costs and personnel and material needs for projects.
• Conduct studies and prepare written reports for clients.
• Lead projects and supervise other engineers, E.I.T.s, drafters, and field personnel.
• Work individually or participate as part of a team for larger scale projects.
• Assist in business development efforts.
• Prepare statements of qualifications and proposals for potential clients.

Essential Skills

• Civil engineering experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience in water and sewer systems
• Project management skills
• Experience in municipal engineering
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to develop talent

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience in site development, grading, drainage, and stormwater management
• Experience in transportation projects

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
