Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to provide engineering support for roadway and transportation-related projects. This role involves planning, designing, and administering construction projects, completing feasibility studies and technical design reports, and coordinating roadway design plans with associated utilities. Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for roadway/transportation-related projects
• Assist in the planning, design, and construction administration of projects
• Complete feasibility studies and technical design reports
• Coordinate roadway design project plans with associated utilities
• Demonstrate eagerness to learn new areas of engineering

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Familiarity with or previous experience using MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD software for design and drafting tasks
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
• Completion of an engineering internship or other professional employment providing experience in surveying, transportation design, MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer, and/or construction observation

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Civil 3D
• Aviation and site development expertise
• Civil design skills
• Professional Engineer certification (preferred)

Work Environment

This position requires reporting on-site at the Cedar Rapids office. The work environment includes the use of technologies such as MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
