Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

A successful candidate will collaborate with staff engineers and geologists on various projects throughout Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Create engineering drawings, specifications, and scopes of work using CAD and other software.
• Assist with cost estimates, report preparation, and task management as directed by the project manager.
• Perform and verify engineering calculations.
• Support office projects and work with Project Managers and staff to ensure client satisfaction and timely project completion.
• Execute civil and process engineering design/build and consulting projects.
• Research and propose solutions to technical problems based on accepted engineering practices and principles.
• Mentor and work with staff on engineering projects.
• Work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
• Communicate effectively with clients and staff, both verbally and in writing.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited university in a civil or mechanical engineering program (or other related field).
• 2 years civil engineering consulting experience from land development, storm water, or water resource.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical writing experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• FE/EIT preferred.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Project).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr.
