Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

A civil consulting company based out of Federal Way is looking for a Civil Project Engineer to support large development projects including communities, residential land development, and commercial projects in the Puget Sound area. The ideal candidate will have 2-8 years of experience in civil design engineering specifically for land development. This role requires strong knowledge in layout, grading, stormwater, and utilities. An EIT license is required, and a PE license is highly desired. The candidate should be interested in pursuing project management as part of their career goals.

Responsibilities

• Support large community development, residential land development, and commercial projects.
• Utilize strong knowledge in layout, grading, stormwater, and utilities.
• Work with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design tasks.
• Develop site plans and designs for civil engineering projects.
• Collaborate with team members in the office, with potential for hybrid work arrangements.
• Pursue project management responsibilities as part of career progression.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT license required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license desired.
• 2-8 years of experience in civil engineering for land development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of Washington requirements for stormwater management.
• Experience with grading and utilities design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Local experience in the Puget Sound area.
• Interest in pursuing project management responsibilities.

Work Environment

The position is based out of the Federal Way office. While there is some flexibility, the preference is to have the team in the office for collaborative purposes, with the potential to work towards a hybrid model allowing for two days at home. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $55.00/hr.
