Job Title: Sr. Civil Engineer

Job Description

The Sr. Civil Engineer will be responsible for the design and supervision of the civil engineering process, specifically site design, planning, and construction. Throughout the design development and construction process, they will assist clients and manage the site development process, including site grading, drainage, zoning, and utility planning. Projects include design-build, commercial buildings, medical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, education, and other local community projects. The role will be onsite in Ada, MI and have a salary up to 130k.

Responsibilities

• Planning and site plan development including grading, drainage, zoning, and utilities
• Assist clients with budgeting and planning activities
• Prepare schematic design and perspective drawings, layouts, drafting, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Visit project sites to monitor projects
• Participate in the engineering proposal process
• Coordination with clients through project durations
• Work with municipal applications, permits, code review, and site plan approval process
• Assist with project close-outs

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• PE License
• 3 years of experience in site development design and engineering for commercial, industrial, healthcare, or education projects

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Project Management for projects
• Proficient in Civil 3D for site development projects
• Experience with civil design and engineering for Pharmaceutical projects

Work Environment

Custom designed and built office in Ada, outside of Grand Rapids. Collaborative workspace in office that includes architecture, engineering, and construction management. Monday through Friday, around 40 hours per week. The firm serves Grand Rapids, West Michigan, and the Midwest by delivering building solutions to clients through design-build, general contracting, and construction management methods. They provide architectural engineering as well as facility maintenance and steel services. They serve a wide range of clients such as pharmaceutical manufacturers and food processors, healthcare facilities, commercial and retail, office buildings, K-12 and higher education facilities, non-profits, and community places of worship.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $62.50/hr.
