Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Engineer 2 for the Civil and Environmental Business Sector. This position offers a sign-on bonus and flexible hybrid or remote work schedules. The successful candidate will work in a team-oriented environment, utilizing their college education and past work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today's environment.

Responsibilities

• Work on energy-related projects
• Lead civil site engineering tasks
• Interface with clients on civil site tasks
• Lead assigned project teams
• Lead development of civil site proposals
• Manage tasks on assigned projects including schedules, budgets, and quality of work
• Travel overnight to project sites domestically as needed, anticipated at less than 20% monthly
• Develop site grading plans
• Create erosion and sediment control plans
• Design stormwater management plans
• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic/drainage plans
• Design utility design and relocation plans
• Create maintenance and protection of traffic plans
• Prepare permit applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.)
• Develop access road section plans
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and quality control plans
• Create construction cost estimates
• Provide owner's engineer support during construction
• Conduct field investigations

Essential Skills

• Civil engineering
• Land development
• Site development
• Substation land development
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
• 4 years of experience
• B.S. in Engineering

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Designs a complete project, system, component, or process and completes plans, specifications, and other project documents
• Designs and conducts investigations and analyzes and interprets test data
• Assigns tasks to and directs other technical and non-technical staff
• Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work, including scoping, budgeting, and scheduling for assignments
• Assists with proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs
• Receives general direction on key objectives and guidance on unconventional/complex problems, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria
• Provides mentored experience to direct reports and junior staff by providing guidance, explaining professional responsibilities, and reviewing work products
• Leads project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments

Work Environment

This role offers a flexible hybrid or remote work schedule. The work environment involves collaboration with a team-oriented approach and requires travel to project sites domestically, anticipated at less than 20% monthly. The successful candidate will work with various technologies and equipment related to civil and environmental engineering.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
