Job Description
We are seeking an Engineer 2 for the Civil and Environmental Business Sector. This position offers a sign-on bonus and flexible hybrid or remote work schedules. The successful candidate will work in a team-oriented environment, utilizing their college education and past work experience to develop professionally into a well-rounded engineer with the ability to grow in today's environment.
Responsibilities
- Work on energy-related projects
- Lead civil site engineering tasks
- Interface with clients on civil site tasks
- Lead assigned project teams
- Lead development of civil site proposals
- Manage tasks on assigned projects including schedules, budgets, and quality of work
- Travel overnight to project sites domestically as needed, anticipated at less than 20% monthly
- Develop site grading plans
- Create erosion and sediment control plans
- Design stormwater management plans
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic/drainage plans
- Design utility design and relocation plans
- Create maintenance and protection of traffic plans
- Prepare permit applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, high occupancy permits, etc.)
- Develop access road section plans
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and quality control plans
- Create construction cost estimates
- Provide owner's engineer support during construction
- Conduct field investigations
Essential Skills
- Civil engineering

- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
- 4 years of experience
- B.S. in Engineering
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Designs a complete project, system, component, or process and completes plans, specifications, and other project documents
- Designs and conducts investigations and analyzes and interprets test data
- Assigns tasks to and directs other technical and non-technical staff
- Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work, including scoping, budgeting, and scheduling for assignments
- Assists with proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs
- Receives general direction on key objectives and guidance on unconventional/complex problems, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria
- Provides mentored experience to direct reports and junior staff by providing guidance, explaining professional responsibilities, and reviewing work products
- Leads project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments
Work Environment
This role offers a flexible hybrid or remote work schedule. The work environment involves collaboration with a team-oriented approach and requires travel to project sites domestically, anticipated at less than 20% monthly. The successful candidate will work with various technologies and equipment related to civil and environmental engineering.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
