Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

Utilize MicroStation and/or Civil 3D to complete site grading, stormwater management, and storm and sanitary sewer design and utilities. Coordinate with project team members and communicate with clients. Conduct site visits and work closely with project managers and the land development team.

Essential Skills

• BS in Civil Engineering
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with the ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 1-3 years of site design experience
• Proficiency in MicroStation or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Knowledge of state and regional regulations and stormwater management ordinances

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• MicroStation proficiency preferred
• Willingness to train on AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience with stormwater management design

Work Environment

This position will start as 100% in-office with the potential to work from home on Fridays after initial training. The engineering team consists of about 40-50 individuals, and the candidate will be placed within one of several specialized teams, such as the commercial or industrial team. The candidate will have opportunities to gain experience on various project types and work with different project managers. Approximately 90% of the time will be spent in the office, with about 10% for site visits. The candidate will have their own desk space, computer setup, and mileage reimbursement for site travel. The company offers a yearly bonus structure based on both company and individual performance and has a high employee retention rate with most employees staying beyond 4-5 years.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
