Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Surveyor with a passion for the telecommunications, drafting, or construction management fields. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate's Degree in one of these areas, although a High School diploma or GED will be considered with the right experience. This role requires proficiency in basic CADD operations, including AutoCAD and/or ESRI GIS products, as well as strong computer skills, particularly with Office, Visio, and AutoCAD. Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and Rural Utilities Service design standards is preferred. The candidate must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support geographic databases.
• Convert CADD/GIS files between various formats.
• Prepare mapping exhibits for use by project staff in proposals, presentations, and other project-related work.
• Prepare GIS shapefile and attribute data using available datasets, including modifying existing GIS data or drawing/digitizing map features from hard copy material or sketches.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in basic CADD operations, including AutoCAD and/or ESRI GIS products.
• Strong computer skills, especially with Office, Visio, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of the telecommunications industry and Rural Utilities Service design standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in GIS with 1 years of experience preferred.
• Experience with MicroStation, transportation, water & wastewater, surveying, construction, and total station.
• Skills in Civil 3D, civil engineering, design, site plan, and development.

All work will be conducted in an office environment. Our rapidly growing engineering firm specializes in wastewater, transportation, and civil site design. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00
