Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CMM Programmer & Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing, and executing CMM programs using PC-DMIS software to inspect and verify part dimensions. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine inspection requirements and ensuring product quality through various inspections.
Responsibilities
- Write and execute CMM programs using PC-DMIS software to inspect and verify part dimensions.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine inspection requirements.
- Perform first-article inspections, in-process checks, and final inspections to ensure product quality.
- Utilize GD&T principles to conduct precise measurements and identify deviations.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address dimensional and quality issues.
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Continuously improve CMM programming and inspection processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Adhere to company quality standards and industry regulations.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a CMM Programmer & Operator.
- Proficiency in PC-DMIS software.
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and applications.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and tools.
- Familiarity with Standard Measuring Instruments (Micrometers, Calipers, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team environment.
Work Environment
The position is onsite at our Maysville Rd. location. The role involves working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure accuracy and quality in inspections. The work environment includes the use of CMM equipment, precision measuring instruments, and adhering to company quality standards and industry regulations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.00/hr.
