Job Description: CMM Programmer

We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality inspection and manufacturing processes, specifically with Zeiss Calypso CMM programming. This role involves dimensionally inspecting manufactured components, assembling parts, and assisting with project management and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Dimensionally inspect manufactured components using manual inspection, CMM, and assembly methods.
• Physically assemble components as needed following engineering drawings.
• Wrap manufactured components, tag, and gather all items for final verification.
• Document all manufactured parts that fail inspection and provide disposition to engineering/project management.
• Assist the Project Management department with specialty applications.
• Support internal and external vendors with the manufacturing of designed components by performing in-process inspections as needed.
• Utilize ERP software to receive manufactured parts into stock through work orders, record time, and review work orders.
• Assist project management with verifying all physical components are allocated for on the picklist.
• Assist with the training of new employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience within the Quality Technician/Inspection industry.
• Proficiency in Zeiss Calypso CMM programming, with the ability to begin programming immediately.
• Ability to read and interpret tight tolerance blueprints (GD&T) with numerous tolerances.
• Proficient in using calipers, tape measures, micrometers, volt meters, oscilloscopes, and gauges.
• Mechanically inclined with an understanding of QC processes and lean principles.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr.
