Job Title: 5-Axis CNC Operator

Job Description

A family-owned business based in Harrisburg, dedicated to providing quality stonework to the greater Central PA area, is seeking a skilled 5-Axis CNC Operator to join our team and contribute to the production of custom countertops. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating and programming 5-axis CNC machines, ensuring precise and efficient cutting of countertop materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines to cut, shape, and finish countertops according to specifications.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs to execute accurate machining.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve production targets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as a CNC operator, with a focus on 5-axis machining.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CAD and interior design.
• Proficiency in using Mastercam for programming.

Work Environment

The work environment includes an 8 AM to 4 PM schedule from Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays on a rotating schedule. Most workdays will be spent in the shop/showroom, with occasional travel to job sites to meet with customers. The company is currently renovating their office, and the owner's dog is typically present, contributing to a strong company culture. The team works on exciting projects, including the renovation of historic sites in central PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
