Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced project manager/superintendent to join our team. This position involves overseeing a diverse range of commercial construction projects, including both interior and ground-up developments. Project sizes typically range from $1 million to $5 million. Responsibilities include overseeing subcontractor selection, creating budgets and schedules, running progress meetings, managing permitting and inspections, communicating with clients, and handling document management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a variety of commercial construction projects ranging from interior to ground-up developments.
• Manage subcontractor selection and ensure quality performance.
• Create and manage project budgets and schedules.
• Conduct progress meetings to ensure project milestones are met.
• Oversee permitting and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and concerns.
• Handle document management including RFI, submittals, and blueprints.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in a project management/superintendent role for a commercial general contractor.
• Proficiency in construction document management including RFI, submittals, and blueprints.
• Experience in subcontractor selection and management.
• Ability to create and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Strong communication skills for client interactions.
• Experience in conducting progress meetings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Recent experience in a project management role overseeing commercial projects over $1 million.
• Experience in contractor selection and management.
• Proficiency in document control and management.
• Experience in meeting coordination and facilitation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in providing estimating support.

Work Environment

This role involves working both in our office located in Aberdeen and on project sites. The office is a newly renovated space with a 10-person team. There is no remote work option available. The superintendent will need to visit the field for progress meetings and to resolve any issues that arise.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
