Job Description
We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer/Agent who can effectively sequence operation reports for large commercial buildings, conduct testing and analysis, and perform calculations for various disciplines. The role includes preparing pre-startup and startup commissioning checklists for specific HVAC systems and subsystems, and providing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing design review, comments, and recommendations for third-party commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Sequence operation reports for large commercial buildings.
- Conduct testing and analysis for buildings.
- Perform calculations for different disciplines.
- Prepare pre-startup and startup commissioning checklists for HVAC systems and subsystems.
- Review and comment on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing designs for third-party commissioning.
- Prepare commissioning plans.
- Review shop drawings related to the commissioning of HVAC systems and building automation systems.
Skills/Qualifications
- 2-10 years of experience in commissioning.
- Experience working with large commercial building systems.
- Experience writing sequence reports and operations.
- Experience in HVAC design, controls engineering, MEP, troubleshooting, and mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Mechanical engineering knowledge.
- 2 years of commissioning experience.
- CxA certification preferred.
- Experience working on any building project.
- Willingness to learn commissioning for those on the design side.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintenance.
Work Environment
This role involves mostly working onsite with regional travel throughout the state of VA, accounting for 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time will be spent working in the office. The position requires working with different contractors, owners' representatives, and clients. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
