What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach Specialist position at Actalent?
Actively looking to hire an oncology community outreach specialist to join the team! This is a permanent role! Must be comfortable speaking to medical professionals about oncology studies!
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting needs of specific protocols and work with the team to meet these goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission or filing of data forms, angiography, echocardiology, radiology, and laboratory materials.
- Abstract and record essential physical and test data, and submit data within the specified timeframe.
- Maintain study charts to coincide with current protocol and research participant visits.
- Respond to data clarification requests (queries) in a timely manner.
- Assist with subject recruitment and prescreening.
- Ensure maintenance of proper research certifications.
- Update project timelines and conduct literary searches.
- Enter and update information in the database for recruiting.
- Assist with study close-out activities.
- Create and maintain accurate files, and handle copying, scanning, uploading, faxing, and emailing documents as necessary.
- Communicate appropriately and effectively with investigators, scientists, APRNs, CRNs, industry collaborators, study monitors, physician offices, ancillary departments, staff, and patients.
- Conform to all standards of good research practice and abide by IRB, FDA, federal, state, and institutional regulations pertaining to human subjects research.
- Understand and abide by HIPAA regulations.
- Understand the protocol document and perform required activities through collaboration with the CRC/CRN.
- Participate in initial and ongoing protocol training as necessary.
- Communicate incoming data and any inconsistencies with the CRC/CRN.
- Maintain personal professional growth and contribute to the growth of team members.
- Maintain adequate skills in technology as necessary for study execution.
- Participate in the orientation of new employees.
- Proactively contribute to process improvement ideas.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree in health science, or related field, OR
- 3 years equivalent administrative/professional experience, OR
- 2 years clinical research experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $66560.00/yr.
