Job Title: Configuration Management Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work with the Configuration Management (CM) team to develop processes and analyze tools that support automated processes for software and hardware installations. The role involves performing change management for engineering projects and collaborating with program managers, contracts, and quality departments. You will review and track drawings and engineering documents required for engineering program activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze processes and tools for automated software and hardware installations.
• Perform change management for engineering projects.
• Collaborate with program managers, contracts, and quality departments.
• Review and track engineering drawings and documents.
• Coordinate engineering changes through implementation.
• Work with project teams to develop installation programs for products.
• Ensure engineering standards are maintained for quality.
• Work with the CM planning team to analyze requirements and provide costing for proposal efforts from an engineering perspective.
• Generate reports and documentation as required.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with Jira, Unix, Linux.
• Experience with product lifecycle management and change management.
• High accuracy in data entry.
• Experience in coordinating engineering changes.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Experience with Teamcenter and SVN.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a CM environment.
• Experience in engineering software and hardware programs in a multi-disciplined environment.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid work environment with travel expected to various locations, including Michigan. The Grayling, MI site is not expected to be completed until 2026, with temporary office space set up expected by late 2025. You will spend the first week meeting the team and learning processes and systems. Within 30 days, you will work with team members and effectively navigate logistics program work. After 30 days, you will continue to take on more responsibilities related to ILS elements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
