Job Summary:
Actalent is a leading design/build firm seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of subcontractor and supplier estimating and bidding processes.
Responsibilities:
- Attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required
- Administer bidding documents and solicit quotations from subcontractors and vendors
- Review and understand plans and specs to accurately evaluate and analyze subcontractor pricing
- Perform quality and material takeoffs, process RFPs and RFQs, and work on multiple company bids simultaneously
- Develop cost-saving suggestions for clients and develop conceptual and budget estimates
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Estimation software proficiencies and commercial construction background
