Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Construction Materials Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting various tests and inspections on materials used in construction projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research data collection on materials used in construction projects.
- Perform quality inspections of materials to ensure they meet specified standards.
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports on findings.
- Document all findings accurately and maintain organized records for future reference.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Basic knowledge of construction materials required (asphalt, concrete, soil, etc.).
- Valid PA driver’s license and willingness to drive to construction sites daily within approximately 2 hour radius of Southcentral Pennsylvania.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification preferred, but not required.
- Mechanical thinker.
- Must be computer proficient (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Must have physical ability to carry ladders, field surveying equipment, lift 125 pounds, walk construction sites with wheelbarrow, etc.
- Must be able to tolerate weather elements, rain, snow, cold, warm, humid, etc.
- Hourly position with overtime opportunities.
- This position can be seasonal, slower work volumes through winter months.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
