Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Actalent is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a full-time role near Clarksville, TN. This role will be managing industrial construction projects. The position offers a company vehicle and cell phone allowance.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and budget.
- Create detailed schedules of activities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals.
- Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as necessary to optimize efficiency.
- Procure necessary resources in accordance with project requirements.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Monitor expenditures, track costs, and identify variances.
- Implement cost-control measures to maintain project profitability.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Implement risk management plans to minimize project disruptions.
- Address issues promptly to prevent escalation.
- Establish quality standards and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to maintain standards.
- Address non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Manage contract changes and resolve disputes effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular meetings and communications to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Manage expectations and maintain positive relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures on-site.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards.
- Promote a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors.
- Prepare and distribute regular progress reports, status updates, and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and permits.
- Archive project records and lessons learned for future reference.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Mentor team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Identify issues and obstacles that may impact project progress.
- Analyze alternatives and make informed decisions to resolve challenges.
- Implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Coordinate project closeout activities, including final inspections and documentation.
- Facilitate the handover of completed projects to clients or end-users.
- Ensure all contractual obligations and warranty requirements are fulfilled.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in construction.
- Experience with ground-up construction, ideally with pre-engineered metal buildings.
- Experience working on industrial projects.
- Concrete experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00
