Job Title: Field Technician
Training Start Date: 5/12/25
The Field Technician will work in schools over the summer, performing air sampling in environments where no children will be present. They will be responsible for all documentation required by general contractors.
Responsibilities
This individual will be going on to active construction job sites around the metro and performing air quality, air monitoring and some water sampling. Majority of the job sites will be at K-12 schools that are remodeling or adding an addition. They will go on the job site, connect with the project manager on site, then conduct sampling. They will be required to perform multiple different tests and then read the results. Once they have examine the results they are required to document the results and explain to the contractor if the site is safe to continue with construction. Will be conducting multiple samples a day and test the samples within the same or next.
Essential Skills
- 2,000 hours of work experience in a construction job (including demo, safety, or carpentry) OR
- Bachelor's degree in physical or life sciences, engineering, or architecture, along with 500 hours of work experience OR
- Enrollment in a relevant degree program seeking an internship

- Self-motivated and organized
- Ability to work independently or with a partner
- Good documentation and paperwork management
Work Environment
The work involves collaboration with other clients and contractors on job sites. Depending on the project size, the individual may work alone or with another team member. Some overnight travel might be required, though it is not guaranteed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
