Position: Controls Design Engineer
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Controls Design Engineer to become a part of our innovative team based in Clearwater, FL. Our facility specializes in providing control panel solutions and services to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a robust engineering expertise, experience in the Manufacturing/Electrical sector, and a commitment to excellence. This role involves the design, architecture, and commissioning of cutting-edge automation control systems that integrate seamlessly into complex industrial settings and adhere to UL 508a standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, architect, and commission advanced automation control systems.
- Ensure all designs meet UL 508a standards.
- Program PLCs and develop HMI interfaces.
- Perform root cause analysis and project estimation.
- Execute control design and electrical design tasks.
- Utilize AutoCAD for design and documentation purposes.
- Develop firmware and logic controllers.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Fabricate automation components and relay designs.
- Continuously self-educate and rehabilitate a variety of machines.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of practical experience in designing and implementing automation control systems.
- Proficiency in PLCs, SCADA systems, industrial communication protocols, HMI, Root Cause Analysis, and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with electrical diagnostic tools.
- Solid understanding of system design principles.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
