Job Description

We're on a mission to make sustainable packaging a reality, and we need your expertise to make it happen. As a Controls Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting our Universal Smart Paper Machine, driving innovation and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and deploy retrofits and design changes to our existing machines in our BOS27 lab, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Travel to our SHV1 and CLE3 locations to implement changes and provide on-site support, collaborating with our teams to resolve any issues that arise.
• Provide feedback to inform design decisions for our next-generation Smart Paper machine, which will primarily support paper packaging.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in controls engineering, applying your knowledge to continuously improve our processes and systems.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC and understanding of structured text and ladder logic.
• Experience with automation, Rockwell, and Allen Bradley PLC programming.
• Knowledge of HMI (Human Machine Interface).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with vision cameras (e.g., Cogenex or Kienz) is a plus.
• Experience with safety and safety programming is desirable.
• Knowledge of Codesys is a nice-to-have, but not required.

Work Environment

The role will be based in BOS27, with required travel to other locations such as SHV1 and CLE3 to provide support and implement changes. The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, focusing on innovation and continuous improvement. You will work with advanced technologies and equipment to enhance our manufacturing processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
