SR. CONTROLS ENGINEER
Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer who can design control systems from scratch and ensure seamless communication within the system. The ideal candidate will have expertise in creating, programming, and building control systems, as well as setting up communication through internet systems. Proficiency in using Ethernet to communicate via DeviceNet and field I/O is essential. If designing control systems is not your primary strength, we are also very interested in candidates who can review designs to understand power voltages, power distribution, and safety circuits. The overall goal is to develop a control system that meets client specifications, blending traditional technology with modern IT controls. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of old-world technology and new-world controls.

We are looking for a Controls Engineer capable of designing systems based on client specifications to operate new automation equipment. The ideal candidate must be able to write PLC ladder code for automation equipment and understand Ethernet design and IP addresses as they relate to the system. Proficiency in C code is also required. A degree is not necessary, but the candidate must be able to write code in a PLC platform. This position is a contract-to-direct opportunity.
Must Have:
-Experience programing from scratch with Allen Bradley
-Start-Up/Debug skills
-Ability to understand IP addresses as they relate to the system
-Proficiency in C code is a big plus
Nice to Have:
-Industrial Controls Design (AutoCAD)
-Ability to design panels
-Understanding of Ethernet design
-Other PLC Language: Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc..
Disqualifier: The primary disqualifier is candidates who have spent their entire career working as controls engineers in a plant without developing control systems from scratch. We are looking for candidates who have developed systems on the front end with clients—a true integrator.

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00/hr.
