Job Title: Crew Chief

Job Description

We're looking for a versatile surveyor who can effectively operate as an independent crew while helping establish our Pennsylvania operations. The initial focus will be predominantly field-based, where having a 'jack of all trades' skill set is crucial - someone equally comfortable with construction and topographic surveys.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys and data collection for construction and topographic projects.
• Operate independently as a survey crew chief, managing field operations and ensuring accuracy.
• Use Trimble equipment and software platform for surveying tasks.
• Collaborate with the office team to process and analyze survey data.
• Travel regularly within Pennsylvania, typically for up to one week at a time.
• Assist in establishing and growing the survey team to support Pennsylvania-based utility projects.

Essential Skills

• 4 years of survey field experience.
• Comprehensive technical proficiency across survey disciplines.
• Experience with construction staking and topographic mapping.
• Familiarity with GPS and stakeout procedures.
• Ability to operate as an independent survey crew.
• Proficiency with Trimble equipment and software platform.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2 years of CAD experience preferred (Civil 3D).

Work Environment

The role involves a 70% field and 30% office split initially. Field operations will require regular travel throughout Pennsylvania, typically not exceeding one-week durations. The company will reimburse mileage initially, with the potential to provide a work vehicle based on workload metrics. The position requires expertise in using Trimble equipment and software platforms.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00
