Director Of Certification

HIRING FOR A DIRECTOR OF CERTIFICATION

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all functions of the Certification department, including providing support and training.
• Oversee the planning and execution of work, including the creation of certification and test plans and reports.
• Review and recommend the development of certification procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Contracts to resolve certification issues promptly.
• Review and recommend policies and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency within the department.
• Ensure departmental activities align with the strategic plan's goals and mission.
• Research and implement opportunities for Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA).
• Complete the TSO application process and requirements.
• Work with Quality Assurance to meet FAA certification and inspection requirements.
• Interface with the FAA on special projects, updates, and statuses.
• Provide management with guidance on FAA regulations and direction.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry partners to improve the company's standing.
• Provide technical support to internal stakeholders to resolve compliance issues.
• Support research and development initiatives and programs.
• Define the scope of continuous improvement initiatives related to certification activities and timelines.
• Recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate employees; oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Maintain education and training to meet FAA requirements.
• Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Recognize your role in achieving the company's quality objectives.
• Follow established policies and procedures to support the company's quality and AS9100 standards.
• Act in accordance with company standards, including quality/AS9100 initiatives and environmental, health, and safety matters.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area; return tools to designated locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

 BS in Engineering, Technical, Management or related field  5 years’ experience Certifications, FAA  MS Office Application  

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Torrington,CT.
