Overview:
We are currently hiring for a 3rd shift Dispatcher opportunity in Newport News, VA. A Security Guard could also work for this position.
Description:
- Provides security protection by utilizing and monitoring the organization's building automation system, electronic surveillance systems and other monitoring devices.
- Utilizes and maintains electronic surveillance and detection systems through security console operations to include; Security, Fire Access Control, HVAC, and executive support.
- Based on console indications or event(s), identifies, initiates and coordinates appropriate response/notification based on security guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Must be eligible for a secret clearance. (Preference is already having an active clearance)
- High sense of urgency is required for proper disposition of emergency services.
- Prior emergency services experience is preferred (Military, Law Enforcement, Emergency Dispatch).
- Expert ability to multitask and being an acute listener is a must.
- High level of attention to detail and procedure following.
Additional Information:
- 3rd shift position.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10pm - 6am.
- 12 month contract opportunity.
- Weekly pay check.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
