Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Distribution Designer to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role include drafting for pole replacement projects, creating job packets, and communicating with line crews, supervisors, and shop clerks. Approximately 75% of the job involves design work. The position also requires performing field visits, handling new customer orders, and dealing with customers directly in the field. The selected candidate will be responsible for learning cost estimates.

Essential Skills
- Experience with AutoCAD (1-4 years)
- Knowledge of distribution design
- High School Diploma or CAD Certification
- Design experience from work or schooling
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline
- Experience with DDS (Distribution Design Software) is a significant advantage
- Knowledge of CAD, distribution design, power distribution, civil, electrical, Microstation, and power delivery
Work Environment
This is a Staff Augmentation position located on-site. The office team includes one Designer, two Line Supervisors, and one Planner/Scheduler. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional 5 hours of overtime. The role will be a mix of field and office work, with an initial phase of 3-6 months primarily in the office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
