Job Title: Distribution Engineer

Job Description

We are currently sourcing for a Distribution Engineer with over 5 years of experience working on AEP projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DDS software, pole relocation, and replacement projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee power delivery and distribution projects.
• Perform pole relocations, pole replacements, unit counts, and reconductoring.
• Ensure compliance with standards and DOT regulations.
• Provide QA and QC for the work of junior designers and engineers.
• Support specific Centerpoint projects.
• Utilize AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in distribution engineering/design engineering.
• Strong understanding of DDS software and Distribution Design Studio.
• Experience with pole relocations, replacements, and reconductoring.
• Knowledge of standards and DOT regulations.
• 3 years of experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience supporting AEP work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3 years of specific Centerpoint project support (ideally 5 years).
• Ability to grow into lead/managerial roles.
• Experience in utility design and power distribution.

Work Environment

Office environment with standard hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The role offers opportunities for growth within a large utility project team and includes PTO and holiday benefits.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
