Drafter - Louisville, KY

We are actively hiring a 2D Drafter to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky! This person will be working on the Cell Tower team of a growing A&E firm, with a specific focus on wireless/tower projects. This position is open due to the company's growth, and this person will have the ability to advance within the organization as they continue to win more business. This is a fully in-office role, with a cubicle setting and production teams of 3-5 drafters under 1 Project Manager. This person must be proficient within AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk products. This can come from a Civil, Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, Fiber, and/or Land Surveying background. Responsibilities

This is a production drafting role, specifically for Civil and Telecom industries. This person will be responsible for creating and modifying construction drawing packages that will be used for zoning, permitting, and design modifications. This position will also assist in the development of construction designs and layouts for various site configurations. Additional responsibilities include providing document control and quality assurance where applicable. This role will be supporting under their Cell Tower team. This is a desk job, so candidates can expect to spend their shifts at a computer utilizing CAD software.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in AutoCAD 2D and Autodesk products
• Professional experience in drafting and design for Civil, Architectural, MEP, Fiber, or Survey projects
• Familiarity with Telecommunication Engineering, Fiberoptic Design, Wireless, Tower Site, or Cell Tower Design
• Preferred but Not Required - Degree in relevant Engineering Technology or Design discipline

Work Environment

This is a standard 8-5 schedule, with a 40-hour work week and business casual environment. This person will be working in an office/cubicle setting. The office is broken down into production teams of 3-5 drafters with one Project Manager. Currently, the team has 80 employees and will continue growing as the project load increases. Candidates will accrue 1.5 hours of PTO per week and will receive 8 holidays per year.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
