As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for reviewing, designing, and developing complex models and simulations. You will utilize advanced computer programs, analytical techniques, and control strategies to effectively maintain low voltage (LV) and medium voltage (MV) products. Your role will include providing accurate and comprehensive product documentation, reviewing designs, analyzing and evaluating systems, and leading a team of engineers to investigate problems and develop solutions. Additionally, you will conduct economic studies, prepare specifications, proposals for contracts, licensing and safety documents, and provide technical support for production teams. You will also assist in defining new product development project specifications, represent the group in meetings, and coordinate technology transfer to manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Review and develop complex models or simulations.
- Apply advanced computer programs, analytical techniques, and control strategies to meet requirements and resolve problems.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive product documentation for internal customers.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate systems, products, or components requiring high technical expertise.
- Act as the Principal Investigator or lead a team of engineers to investigate problems and develop solutions.
- Conduct economic studies and prepare specifications, proposals for contracts, licensing, and safety documents.
- Provide technical support for production teams related to standard products.
- Assist in defining and documenting new product development project specifications and scope.
- Assist in defining requirements for test programs and prepare technical reports.
- Represent the group in meetings and conferences, interacting with internal customers to resolve significant technical issues.
- Assess and review materials requirements and specifications, providing technical direction or consultation.
- Seek innovative materials that improve reliability, performance, and reduce costs.
- Coordinate technology transfer to manufacturing operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and reading specifications.
- Experience with electrical distribution equipment.
- Skills in electrical design, schematic design, and panel layout.
- Knowledge in low voltage and medium voltage distribution.
- Experience with transformer design, switchgear, and power supply design.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with panel boards, lining panels, CDP products, power distribution, large medium voltage, and switch gears.
- Ability to deliver drawing packages.
- Knowledge of UL 891 standards.
- Experience in control panel design and consulting on specified switchgears.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $83000.00 - $114000.00/yr.
