Job Description
As an Electrical Designer, you will provide technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary project team, responsible for producing electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for higher education, healthcare, and other commercial/industrial facilities. You will complete design tasks within budget and on schedule, collaborating with the Project Manager, Sr. Electrical Engineer, and the design team.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and design services for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems.
- Produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for various facilities.
- Complete design tasks within budget and on schedule.
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Sr. Electrical Engineer, and design team.
Essential Skills
- 1 years of experience in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit design.
- Two-year degree in computer-aided drafting, electrical systems technology, or related technical field.
- Good technical and communication skills.
- Methodical, precise, and consistent work approach.
- Ability to work alone and effectively in a project team.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related occupation.
- Project experience with arc flash analysis and coordination studies using SKM software.
- Experience with drafting and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM.
- PE registration or ability to quickly obtain through reciprocity.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC).
- 2 years of experience in design and technical services for power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
- Strong interest in Electrical Design.
Work Environment
Individuals can work in either the Asheville or Greenville office.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
