Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Electrical Engineer designs advanced electrical components and sub-assemblies with minimal support.

Responsibilities

• Detail and design electrical components and electrical sub-assemblies.
• Research, test, and assemble electrical components and sub-assemblies.
• Troubleshoot production problems.
• Assist in the documentation of components and sub-assemblies.
• Maintain documentation and/or logbook.
• Responsible for maintaining design documentation for review purposes.
• Participate in multi-discipline design efforts with high awareness of design implications within a team environment.
• Provide research support, understand new technologies, and support product innovation.
• Support specialty electrical designs with a high degree of technical independence.

Essential Skills

• PCB design
• Hardware design
• Electrical engineering
• 2 years of experience in PCB design
• 2 years of experience in hardware design
• 2 years of experience in electrical engineering

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation.
• Familiarity with mass spectrometers, protein analysis, and various applications in life sciences.
• Understanding of analog, digital, and mixed signal designs.
• Experience with high-end FPGAs and high-performance, low-noise, high-resolution, high-bit-count designs.
• Some experience in industrial electronics design.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
