Job Title: Electronics/Hardware Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electronics/Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The primary function of this role is the design of PCBs including rigid, flex, and hybrid types, as well as schematic preparation. You will be responsible for troubleshooting designs, improving design for EMC compliance, and designing jigs for testing and production. Additionally, you will handle component selection and acquisition, write test reports, and address field responses and user requests.

Responsibilities

• Design PCBs including rigid, flex, and hybrid types
• Prepare schematics prior to PCB design
• Troubleshoot designs and make improvements for EMC compliance
• Design jigs for testing and production
• Select and acquire components
• Write and maintain accurate test reports and documentation
• Address field responses and user requests by adjusting designs
• Conduct EMI/EMC testing and prototyping
• Run tests to identify emissions and troubleshoot before design validation
• Collaborate with supply chain and purchasing partners

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience in electronics
• 2 years of PCB design experience, including at least 6-layer PCBs with medium complexity (50-100 components)
• Familiarity with at least one ECAD tool (preferably Altium, but ORCAD, Siemens PADS, KiCAD are acceptable)
• Engineering degree and eligibility for EIT registration
• Ability to troubleshoot own designs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with EMC testing
• Good documentation skills
• Soldering skills
• Experience with FPGA-based systems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $52.00

This is a fully onsite position in Vancouver,BC.
