Job Title: Electrical Test Engineer- Direct Hire-Full-Time Role

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer with a strong background in electronics to join our dynamic engineering team. The Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, documenting, and executing quartz crystal testing protocols, troubleshooting quartz crystal testing systems, and ensuring product quality and reliability. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong analytical skills, and experience with electronic testing systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, and implement quartz crystal test plans, test cases, and testing procedures for quartz crystal electronic testing systems.
• Use electronic testing equipment such as quartz crystal temperature testing systems, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators to perform tests.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and provide feedback to production and development teams.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot defects and issues within electronic test systems.
• Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, procedures, and results.
• Prepare test reports, summaries, and presentations for engineering and management teams.
• Propose enhancements to existing test processes and procedures to improve efficiency and product reliability.
• Maintain shipping records, location, and test data for inventoried quartz crystals.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting electronic systems or related experience in electronics engineering.
• Proficiency with electronic testing tools (e.g., network analyzers, multimeters, signal generators).
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in hardware test development and design.
• Ability to maintain detailed documentation and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

The company designs and manufactures satellite communication systems for the aerospace, space, and defense industry. Located in Uniondale, NY, the company employs over 200 engineers and manufacturing personnel. The work environment is casual, and lab coats are provided to wear over clothes. Working hours are from 7:30am to 5:15pm, with every other Friday off. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

9/80 work weeks. Employees complete 80 hours of week in 9 days and have every other Friday off (three day weekend every other weekend)
Company provides contractors with paid holidays (matching internal employee holidays) after 30 days
