Job Title: Electrical Test Engineer
Job Description
As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment requirements for the calibration/testing of new and existing products. You will support new product introductions to manufacturing, assist with released products, and help with the retirement of legacy products. You will play a key role in Operations by contributing to and owning key performance indicators such as 5S/Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. This position empowers you to make decisions, drive improvements, and offers ample opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement test systems for new product introductions.
- Support, maintain, and improve test systems throughout the factory.
- Drive internal and external quality improvements using root cause analysis and countermeasures.
- Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities within the factory.
- Advise design engineering on existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to contribute to new designs.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical I/O communication boards for various stations.
- Coordinate design changes for existing stations as per product requirements.
- Develop and test stations using software and hardware.
- Provide technical assistance for hardware and software debugging.
- Review test results, analyze test data from databases, and improve yields.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of related engineering experience.
- Good understanding of analog and digital circuitry and ability to read schematics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as LabView/Teststand, C#, Matlab, C , etc.
- Root cause analysis using various problem-solving methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work and delivering results.
- Experience working in a metric/goal-driven environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present information and respond to feedback at all levels within a global organization.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing processes.
- Experience in software testing, hardware testing, and electrical engineering.
- Proficiency in LabView, Python, C#, and C.
Work Environment
You will be working on-site in Everett. Some travel is required, ranging from 10-50% of the time. This may include consecutive weeks of travel, followed by extended periods without travel.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $52.00/hr.
