Job Title: Electrical Test Technician

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Test Technician. This role involves implementing testing of existing and new OEM forklifts and components. With the launch of 22 new models, we are focusing on improving telematics, autonomous features, wireless capabilities, and overall electrical systems. Help us expand and enhance our testing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Work with Test Engineers to understand and set up tests.
• Set up data acquisition systems based on the test type.
• Complete tests as per outlined plans and maintain detailed logs.
• Update daily activity details in tracking documents.
• Understand test plans and procedures to complete testing.
• Perform truck tests by driving required duty cycles and patterns.
• Complete test reports within specified timelines.
• Catalog lessons learned and report testing status in daily meetings.
• Maintain test equipment and participate in 5S activities.
• Perform electric system and subsystem testing using tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and voltmeters.
• Set up data acquisition systems and measure current for multiple components.
• Conduct fuse compatibility testing and execute custom-built tests.

Essential Skills

• Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or 3 years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and voltmeters.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience.
• Experience with harnesses and component-level testing on PCBs.
• Soldering experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Firmware understanding.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with CAN harnesses.

Work Environment

Candidates will work in a split floor and office environment. The test team operates at the end of the manufacturing line, performing tests as products roll off the line. The facility includes an onsite medical clinic, cafeteria, and fitness center. Opportunities for full-time positions and potential advancement to engineering roles are available within 9-18 months. An excellent insurance and benefits package is provided upon conversion

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
