Job Title: Embedded Linux Architect

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux Architect with a deep understanding of ARM processor architecture and product development with SOC. The ideal candidate will have extensive development experience with touchscreen displays and their communication protocols such as RGB, LVDS, and MIPI. Advanced knowledge of C programming, Python, and BASH is required, along with familiarity with Linux kernel, bootloaders, and the building blocks of applications on a Linux target. Knowledge of Yocto and/or Buildroot is essential.

Responsibilities

• Architect all pieces of essential software from the kernel to the application layer and provide direction to other engineers on development standards.
• Improve and maintain existing software components.
• Perform test unit, verification, and validation of the developed product.
• Assist with the hardware design surrounding the processor.
• Document projects according to industry standards, including protocols, architecture, and technical specifications.
• Participate in the editing of user guides and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate the transfer to production.

Essential Skills

• 10-15 years of experience in Embedded Linux development.
• On-site presence required for the first 3-6 months, with remote work flexibilities negotiable.
• Embedded Linux development experience for ARM processors.
• Advanced embedded C programming.
• Advanced Python and BASH scripting.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux kernel and driver development and implementation.
• Advanced knowledge of Yocto or Buildroot.
• Advanced knowledge of analyzing existing structures and code.
• Knowledge of software version control environments such as Gitlab.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, network communication protocols, and embedded web technologies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with QT development environment is a plus.
• Experience with C is a plus.

Initially, the role requires on-site presence for the first 3-6 months, after which remote work options are negotiable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $190000.00/yr.
