Job Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for full-time employment in Dublin, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have experience in bare-bones electronics and custom electronic assemblies, with a strong focus on embedded Linux. The role involves a three-way split between designing, implementing, and testing embedded systems, including both updating existing systems and developing new ones from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded systems.
• Develop custom electronic assemblies and firmware.
• Write and maintain C code in an Embedded Linux environment.
• Serve as the architect, setting direction and acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and star player.
• Collaborate with a great team, ensuring the right fit and people-facing skills.

Essential Skills

• Ideally 10 years of experience in embedded software development (Open to less experience if culturally a good fit).
• Experience with custom electronic assembly and firmware development.
• Strong preference for experience with Embedded C and Linux.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Customer service skills and comfort in talking to people.
• Knowledge of field service operations and collaboration with team members.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Electrical Engineering preferred, but open to other fields with relevant experience).

Work Environment

The position is on-site from Monday to Friday with flexible hours (e.g., 7-3, 10-6/7). The team follows a Waterfall development process and consists of highly skilled engineers with a mix of senior and junior members. The team values collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, and operates in a flexible work environment. The team is led by experienced managers who prioritize both technical excellence and personal development, encouraging open communication.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.10 - $67.31/hr.
