We are looking to add an Embedded Software Test Engineer to a long-term project engagement with a well-known industry leader in the Residential, Industrial, and Commercial climate control domain. This role will have a direct impact on the design and manufacturing of state-of-the-art heating and cooling systems for high-tech applications such as data centers and alternative energy production.
This group designs their own power electronics controls systems 100% in-house. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who is passionate about system design and integration in a progressive environment where they can learn a lot of innovative technology solutions.
This role will be onsite at our customer facility in New Freedom, PA and will come with a comprehensive benefits package as well as PTO and Holidays
Duties
• Identifies testable product requirements and develops test cases to validate interfaces, performance, and product features.
• Developing and maintaining test artifacts, including test plans, procedures, reports, and manual and automated scripts.
• Executing manual and automated tests.
• Identifying and documenting defects and questionable functions.
• Participating in the development and peer reviews of software documentation.
• Configuration management of test cases and results.
• Collaborates with the hardware and software teams to integrate and test products.

Desired Skills/Experience
• BS Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Must have experience as an individual contributor in embedded software development or embedded software testing.
• Strong experience with Python programming and test automation.
• Experience documenting and tracking issues and presenting findings to others.
• Experiencing troubleshooting software and communication with hardware interfaces.
• Preference to candidates with embedded software testing and HP/ALM experience.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00
