Job Title: EMC Compliance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to work closely with our Compliance Lead in supporting ongoing hardware and software product certification efforts across multiple programs. This role will focus on gathering, organizing, and tracking technical documentation to assist with third-party lab certifications and internal compliance processes. The ideal candidate will have strong regulatory experience, particularly in EMC, RF/wireless, and product safety, as well as a background in test labs or certification bodies.

Responsibilities

• Attending on-site testing at third-party labs (i.e., Underwriters Laboratories) when necessary, and managing logistics and communication around test sessions.
• Drafting and reviewing test plans, validating test procedures, working with labs to confirm protocol, and communicating results clearly to cross-functional teams.
• Maintaining and updating certification status across tools such as Notion and Google Sheets for weekly cross-functional update meetings (legal, product, hardware, and software operations).
• Staying involved across programs to ensure that compliance activities remain on track with the broader product development timeline.

Essential Skills

• 5-7 years of experience working within compliance, ideally with lab experience.
• Experience with hardware and software product certification or compliance documentation.
• Comfortable navigating and organizing technical documents.
• Familiarity with certification processes and third-party testing labs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with EMC compliance, FCC, regulatory compliance, RoHS, and CA Prop 65.
• Proficiency in using Google Sheets and Notion.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
