Job Title: EMC Test Engineer
Job Description
As an EMC Test Engineer, your responsibilities will include the evaluation of designs and testing of Ethernet switches to confirm compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. You will run tests such as radiated emissions, conducted emissions, surge, and other various EMC tests. You will be responsible for learning current global EMC standards and test specifications.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate designs and test Ethernet switches to confirm compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct tests such as radiated emissions, conducted emissions, and surge.
- Learn and adhere to current global EMC standards and test specifications.
Essential Skills
- Experience running EMC tests such as radiated emission, conducted emission, and surge.
- Experience with production and bench level testing.
- Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least 1 year of EMC testing experience.
- RF testing experience or a degree concentrated in telecommunications or RF.
Work Environment
Lab environment. Monday to Friday, day shift role. Candidates should be open to working the 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm) as well. If assigned to the 2nd shift, training will start on the 1st shift before moving to the 2nd shift after the team confirms comfortability.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
