Job Title: Engineering Extrusion Technician
Job Description
This position provides technical support for Medical Tubing extrusion, including extruding and combining resins and colorants, and addressing engineering requests. The role involves producing medical grade extruded tubing safely and efficiently, improving quality, reducing scrap, and meeting all task and cycle time requirements. Responsibilities include operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment, documenting work, working on new products and processes, and supporting training efforts. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and GMP standards is required. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, proactive, and able to quickly overcome constraints, with a strong sense of urgency.
Responsibilities
- Apply technical concepts and practices to resolve manufacturing and research and development tasks.
- Perform set-up, testing, repair, inspection, and maintenance of area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and products.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems by interpreting procedures and practices, and analyze data to identify issues and trends.
- Collect, compile, measure, organize, and record data, and provide input to engineering, qualifications, and validation studies.
- Develop or revise documents and procedures, and maintain lab notebooks.
- Plan, organize, and prioritize daily work routines to meet established schedules and assigned tasks or projects.
- Communicate effectively as a team member with other functional groups and internal customers, and interact with outside vendors as needed.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in medical extrusion.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years' experience in engineering within the medical device field.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and GMP standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with extrusion processes.
- Experience in the medical device industry.
- Ability to follow policies and regulations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.

This company is in a ramp-up period and is very busy, with mentoring available in a start-up environment. The manufacturing area is a new class 7 clean room, with several new products expected in the next six months. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
