Job Title: Technician II

Job Description

We are seeking a Technician II to perform activities related to system commissioning and installation of equipment. The ideal candidate will conduct system check-outs and advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Test mechanical and electrical panels containing components from CAT5 to electronics to servos.
• Wire panels to respective machines per schematics.
• Troubleshoot mechanical components of custom equipment.
• Install control panels for machines.
• Troubleshoot and debug equipment with the engineering team.
• Work directly from schematics and blueprints.

Essential Skills

• Experience in engineering, electronics, and test equipment.
• Proficiency in system integration and automation.
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and work from schematics and blueprints.
• Experience in wiring and calibration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• AAS Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.
• 3 years of mechanical manufacturing or electrical technician experience.
• 3 years of experience reading and working off of blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 3 years of experience with capital equipment manufacturing.
• 2 years of mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting.
• System integration experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a clean, state-of-the-art facility with minimal turnover. The company builds proprietary laser machines for various industries, primarily aerospace. The team consists of 55-60 employees at this location, part of a larger corporation headquartered in Italy. The role includes shop work and installation and commissioning of new equipment at client sites, with 10-20% travel over time. Candidates should be comfortable handling customer interactions in potentially high-pressure environments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $62000.00/yr.
