Job Title: Drafter
Job Description
Assist in measuring and drawing products within residential and commercial locations. Daily travel to on-site measuring jobs. Work in the office 50% of the time drafting the products. Answer basic questions from customers. Conduct drafting projects from start to finish prior to moving to the next project.
Responsibilities
- Measure and draw products in residential and commercial settings.
- Travel daily to on-site measuring jobs.
- Spend 50% of the time working in the office drafting products.
- Answer basic customer inquiries.
- Complete drafting projects from start to finish before moving on to the next project.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience in drafting and creating blueprints.
- Ability to use a tape measure accurately to the 1/16.
- Understanding of construction drawings.
- Experience in construction.
- Knowledge of IMOS software.
- Strong people skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Carpentry knowledge (preferred).
- General construction knowledge (preferred).
- Valid driving license (must have).
- Attention to detail (preferred).
Work Environment
This is a family-owned company with a constantly growing countertop division. The department is small, with only six people in the office, and has a very low-key team. The company does not micro-manage and understands that there is life outside of work. They have not done any layoffs. The work environment includes working in an office setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
