Job Title: Environmental Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a first shift Environmental Technician to join our team in Hatfield, PA. The Environmental Technician will be responsible for transporting labelled drums of waste, identifying the substances in the drums, and loading and offloading the drums onto trucks. The role also involves separating hazardous waste from non-hazardous waste and organizing them in the warehouse accordingly. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to gain experience with a leading team in the waste industry, which prioritizes safety and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

• Transport labelled drums of waste
• Identify substances in drums
• Load and offload drums onto trucks
• Separate hazardous waste from non-hazardous waste
• Organize waste in the warehouse

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or Chemistry OR one-year experience in a related industry
• Strong work attitude and mindset

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification (plus, but not required)
• OSHA 40 certification
• Experience in environmental science, general labor, and soil sampling

Work Environment

The work environment is split between outdoor and indoor settings. You will need the ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday and stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods. The role requires working outdoors in various climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
