Entry Level Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design packaging and material handling equipment. This role involves working on large systems, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings, utilizing Solidworks for machine design and conveyor systems.
Responsibilities
- Design packaging and material handling equipment
- Create and manage shop drawings and fabrication drawings
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMS)
- Detail large systems
- Utilize Solidworks for 2D drafting and 3D design
Essential Skills
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient with Solidworks
- Experience in 2D drafting and 3D design
- Experience detailing large systems
- Familiarity with shop drawings and fabrication drawings
- Experience with Bills of Materials (BOMS)
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with conveyor systems
- Experience in machine design
Work Environment
You will be working in a rapidly growing company that has recently outgrown its facility and is building a new one next door. Initially, you will be working out of a trailer until the new facility is ready. This position offers extensive training, real-world skill development, and opportunities for mobility across different business units. After a six-month contract, there is the potential for a raise and permanent employment based on performance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
