Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design packaging and material handling equipment. This role involves working on large systems, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings, utilizing Solidworks for machine design and conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

• Design packaging and material handling equipment
• Create and manage shop drawings and fabrication drawings
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMS)
• Detail large systems
• Utilize Solidworks for 2D drafting and 3D design

Essential Skills

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficient with Solidworks
• Experience in 2D drafting and 3D design
• Experience detailing large systems
• Familiarity with shop drawings and fabrication drawings
• Experience with Bills of Materials (BOMS)
• GPA of 3.5 or higher

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with conveyor systems
• Experience in machine design

Work Environment

You will be working in a rapidly growing company that has recently outgrown its facility and is building a new one next door. Initially, you will be working out of a trailer until the new facility is ready. This position offers extensive training, real-world skill development, and opportunities for mobility across different business units. After a six-month contract, there is the potential for a raise and permanent employment based on performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
