Job Title: Environmental Scientist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Scientist to oversee the installation and calibration of flow and level monitors within sewer lines, as well as the installation of rainfall monitoring equipment. The role involves collecting, reviewing, and maintaining accurate and organized records of sewer flow, level, and rainfall data in accordance with company quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation of flow and level monitors within sewer lines.
- Oversee the installation of rainfall monitoring equipment.
- Calibrate flow monitors.
- Collect and review sewer flow, level, and rainfall data.
- Maintain accurate, legible, and organized records as per company quality standards.
Essential Skills
- Environmental science knowledge.
- Experience with OSHA standards.
- Background in Engineering/Utilities.
- HAZWOPER certification.
- OSHA 40 certification.
- Experience handling hazardous waste.
- Knowledge of wastewater management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- BS in Environmental Science (preferred).
- OSHA 40 certification (preferred).
- CPR certification.
- First Aid certification.
Work Environment
The position requires working a schedule of Monday to Thursday, with 10-hour days typically from 7 am to 4 pm, and overtime is compensated. The office is located in Londonderry, NH, with projects primarily in Boston but also extending to Bangor, ME, and CT. You will be working alongside another Environmental Specialist and reporting to a manager.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
